Frequently asked questions
- Why are Jamaican patties yellow?
- The crust gets its golden color from turmeric (and sometimes annatto) worked into the flaky pastry.
- Can I freeze beef patties?
- Yes — freeze them baked or unbaked. Reheat baked patties at 350°F, or bake unbaked ones straight from frozen, adding a few minutes.
